We made it! Sai is 8 months now and I can't believe we've made it this far! I'm so proud of myself for sticking it through and making sure my little one is getting the best nutrition I can offer him. In the beginning, nursing is such a challenge because it's a new experience and it's also painful...at least for me it was. Trying to schedule to pump and baby eating plus losing sleep to pump milk was exhausting. The good thing about all this is that if you allow yourself time and patience your body will adjust to the changes. I believe at 4 or 5 months of breastfeeding Sai it just became a normal part of my life.
What motivated me to keep going was that a lot of food is now processed and things are changing in ways that are not healthy for us. I'm soo blessed that I was able to feed Sai breastmik because I know how hard it can be and everyone's lifestyle is different so moms have to do what's best for them. Nursing was the best choice for us. Sai hasn't been sick once and I believe it's from the antibodies produced in breast milk.
To all the fellow moms who have reached their goal for breastfeeding I'm so proud of you! What we do isn't easy, but definitely worth it.
