Since I could remember I've always been fascinated by women who have this radiant glow going on with their skin whether they're wearing little to no makeup at all. The dewy look has always been one of my top faves. Now, that I'm a bit older and have stalked a couple Youtube beauty vloggers and worked with make up artists on photo shoots, I find there are many ways to achieve this look. If your anything like me a product junkie, but no where near a makeup artist then your at the right place at the right time.
Providence Beauty Rebalance - Argan + Jojoba oil
Remember I mentioned that I stalked a few beauty vloggers for tips? Well, I did the same on Instagram, but more research related intentions. Anywho, I've been seeing people use these cute glass bottles and many of them contain different oils and face serums to accomodate different types of skin. One day, I happened to go into TJ Maxx, one of my favorite stores to shop and get things for discounted prices. I stumbled across a brand called Providence Rebalance Facial Oil. I love this oil, and I love the minimalistic look that it has. I like this product because you can mix this with your lotion or use it by it self and it leaves your face moisturized.
Coconut Oil (cold-pressed)
Everyone uses coconut for something right? I mean the possibilities of coconut oil are endless and that's why I'll talk about it more in depth later in a separate post. Have you ever used coconut oil to remove your makeup? Well, I have and it is so convenient. Coconut oil is very oily and that's why I use a small dab on my face if I want to achieve a natural glowy look. It's easy to use and it's versatile.
Yes! I rely on water for a dewy look too. For many years I would wash my face, rinse, and then dry my skin with a washcloth. However, I watched a segment one time about how P.Diddy let his whole body air dry in order to maintain it's natural moisture and I was like well I can't do my whole body, but I'll try my face instead. In actuality, I like keeping the water on my skin from either taking a shower or washing my face. It feels refreshing, my pores are still open, and I feel that the moisture is better retained with supple skin.
Nectar and Moon's (formerly Balm Co's Glow Mist)
When I was pregnant I was convinced that I had the worst acne ever as a pregnant woman. My hair was a mess and so was my face. My body was going thru so many changes and my face suffered majorly during my first trimester. I had to get something for my acne. So I ordered the Charcoal Cleanser + Glow Mist from the botanical skincare line Nectar and Moon. I still have this in my cabinet. I would definitely recommend both products as activated charcoal is great for detoxifying your skin. If you want to get rid of acne and achieve that glowy look for your pregnancy that everyone raves about then I would try this.
Kaeso Beauty Aloe Vera Scrub
I was so excited to receive these items from Kaeso Beauty especially when I saw the Aloe Vera Facial Scrub. I've always heard about the benefits of aloe vera. A friend of mine applied aloe vera to her skin religiously and her skin was always perfection. I haven't exfoliated in over a year so using this natural scrub is a plus in order to get rid of dead skin and rejuvenate my skin.
